Albacor Shipping completes difficult transformer movement

April 15 - Albacor Shipping Inc, the WWPC member in the in USA has transported a massive transformer weighing 232 tonnes on a 12-axle FD from the Port of Norfolk to an Electric Utility site in Trapp.

An expert team from Albacor's Los Angeles office supervised the successful shipment noting that it took several weeks of work with the railroad clearance department to obtain a clearance for this move and indicating that the transformer was within 1/2 inch of not being able to clear via rail.
