Alistair takes a Liebherr in Tanzania

May 2 - Alistair Group has received a Liebherr LR1250 crawler crane for the Kinyerezi II project in Tanzania.

The crane will assist CSI Electrical and Toshiba with the heavy lifts at the natural gas power plant project, the largest of which will be an 85-tonne lift.

According to Alistair Group, the 250-tonne capacity crane is the largest in Tanzania and the only new model Liebherr crawler crane in the East Africa region.

Alistair utilised its road freight division to deliver the crane from the port to the project site using a lowbed and five tri-axle trailers.
