April 29 - Following our report on April 16 about Hartmann Project Lines' new service from Europe to West Africa, CN Shipping has been revealed as the UK Agent for the venture.

CN Shipping says that the fortnightly liner service to Mauritania, Ghana  and Nigeria will offer sailings from Tilbury, Antwerp and Rouen. Other European ports of call will be considered on inducement to these and/or other West African destinations.

The service will deploy modern  multipurpose geared vessels  accepting containers and conventional breakbulk, project and heavy lift cargoes. The onboard barnes can lift up to 60 tonnes and can be combined up to 120  tonne lifts.

Hartmann Project Lines is the trading name for the new service which is operated by MTL - Maritime Logistik + Transport GmBH Co. KG in Duisburg, Germany, as the principal. The multipurpose vessels operated in the liner service are owned by Intership Navigation Ltd., Cyprus, which is also a company in the Hartmann Group.

Other agents include OMT - Overseas Maritime Transport in Belgium; MCA Shipping in France; Intraha and Cargo-Levant in Germany; FA Voigt in the Netherlands; as well as the Elder Dempster Agencies' offices in Ghana and Nigeria.
