The cargoes were loaded in Qingdao and Taicang in China, with some pieces weighing up to 152 tonnes. Coastal barges and trailers were used to transport the equipment to the chartered vessel, with a 600-tonne capacity floating crane deployed to lift some of the units.

Baggio’s in-house engineering teams prepared lifting, stowage and sea-fastening plans to transport the intricate cargo mix, catering for a variety of its clients from the industrial projects, photovoltaic, steelmaking, hydropower, and oil and gas sectors.

The company controlled the entire voyage from China, calling at Paranaguá, Santos, Angra dos Reis, Sepetiba, and Pecém.
