Crane Rental lifts heavy haul business

December 23 - Based in Orlando, USA, Crane Rental Corporation is expanding its heavy haul logistics division as well as its crane rental and rigging operations, in response to a resurgence in commercial and industrial demand.

The company had added its third 850-tonne capacity Manitowoc 18000 to its fleet, along with a new 600-tonne capacity Terex AC500 hydraulic truck crane and a 68.3 m long Trail King dual lane transport trailer, said president of Crane Rental, Alan Ashlock.

Ashlock added that the company had invested over USD14 million in new equipment during the fourth quarter of 2013, and that the new cranes and trailer are well suited for extra heavy loads at chemical and power plants, refineries, and road and bridge building projects.
