October 28 - Depth Logistics has formed a partnership with Riback Stevedores, jointly developing a new quarantine washpad in Lae, Papua New Guinea.

The partnership combines the cargo handling and stevedoring facilities provided by Riback in Lae, with the shipping, customs clearance and biosecurity expertise of Depth Logistics.

Depth Logistics' biosecurity consultants will oversee washing operations at the new washpad, which is the largest in the Papua New Guinean port, claims Depth Logistics, to ensure that cleanliness standards are met and avoid re-export orders in places such as Australia and New Zealand.

The partnership will allow shippers to have a single service provider for every link in the transportation chain in and out of Papua New Guinea, says Depth Logistics.
