November 26 - Over 145 senior managers from 65 countries gathered from November 17-19 at the Imperial Queen's Park Hotel in Bangkok for the Project Cargo Network's (PCN) third annual summit.

Before the start of the meeting, a team building session and gala dinner, including a drinks reception, Thai banquet and various entertainment, was held.

The summit officially began with a keynote speech by PCN chairwoman, Rachel Humphrey, who provided an industry outlook with input from HLPFI's own executive director, Ian Matheson.

Humphrey spoke of the current market for the heavy lift sector, the geography of the marketplace, personnel issues and competition in the shipping sector.

Delegates then took part in over 1,550 individual meeting sessions over the next two days.

The event was officially supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, as well as Thai Airways, which offered delegates a special fare to attend the meeting.
