The Environment Award attracted a broad range of entries that highlighted the diverse nature of the supply chain and approaches to sustainability. Logistec Stevedoring rose to the top with a submission that showcased an enthusiastic, exemplary, and concerted effort to be environmentally aware.

Environment Award - Winner - Logistec Stevedoring

Logistec Stevedoring was commended for demonstrating how environmental concerns are factored into operational activities. From its development and implementation of an Environmental Management System, investments in low-emission equipment and technology, and industry-leading participation in environmental programmes, Logistec has indeed put environmental concerns at the forefront of its activities.

Making it on to the shortlist this year was Blue Water Shipping for its role in a pioneering carbon capture and storage (CCS) project tin the North Sea; Grimaldi Group for its strategic investments aimed at reducing harmful emissions from its operations; Sarens for its deeply embedded sense of environmental responsibility, which includes the launch of the Sarens Sustainability Accelerator initiative; and Wallenius Wilhelmsen for several initiatives it has implemented to reduce its carbon footprint, including energy efficiency initiatives, exploring alternative fuel options and optimising routes and operations.
