Carolos Rodriguez Basagoiti, ceo of Bilbao-based Consignaciones Toro y Betolaza, has been elected president of the association of shipbrokers and stevedores of the port of Bilbao (ACBE).
He replaces Virginia Navarro Quiroga, who has served at the helm of the association since 2020.
ACBE was set up in 1922 to represent the business interests of its members and contribute to the expansion and growth of the port. It represents the stevedoring companies and the majority of the ship agents that operate at the port of Bilbao.
