The Prince Rupert Port Authority (PRPA) has appointed Katherine Bamford as its vice president of business development.
Bamford has over 25 years of experience in business development, stakeholder engagement, and business innovation. In successive roles at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, she led initiatives in international market expansion and customer engagement across North America, Asia, and Europe. She served as director, trade development, for 13 years, responsible for strategic leadership and daily management of the port’s commercial customer engagement and outreach strategies.
PRPA said that Bamford will lead national and international marketing efforts to encourage volume through the gateway, pursue investment in terminal development and expansion to support market diversification, and build upon the successful growth of the port of Prince Rupert.
