Richard Beardmore has been promoted to the role of managing director at transport engineering specialist Allelys. David Allely will move into the position of chairman.
“It’s absolutely essential that Allelys remains a family owned and sustainable business,” said Allely. “The business has grown substantially, both in scale and capability, and with that growth comes new opportunities and challenges. Richard has clearly demonstrated the qualities of a managing director during his time with the company, and we’ve worked closely together to achieve the goals of the business.”
Beardmore, who joined Allelys in 2021 as senior commercial manager and was promoted to chief commercial officer last year, said: “I have a huge amount of respect for David, his knowledge and experience in the industry are second to none and I’m proudto follow in his footsteps as we continue to build on the company’s success.”
Both Allely and Beardmore will assume their new roles with immediate effect.
In September 2025, Allelys promoted Amy Turner to commercial manager.
