GAC expands to Uruguay

GAC has opened an office in Uruguay in response to a growing demand for its shipping services from the offshore oil and gas industry.

The office, based in the port of Montevideo, will offer a full range of ship agency services in the country, with a particular focus on the offshore oil and gas and tanker sectors, said GAC.

The opening of a location in Uruguay continues the company’s expansion in South America, where it opened an office in Fortaleza, Brazil and established GAC Panama during 2018.

Bob Bandos, GAC group vice president – Americas, added: “With the opening of GAC Uruguay, we are better positioned on South America’s eastern seaboard to serve our customers and prospects, and to meet the demands of overseas customers.”
