Axel Hinz

Hinz, who succeeds Arne Lorenzen who is retiring after 15 years in the role, will lead the strategic development of the MBS branches in Hamburg and Norderstedt, and will leverage his sea freight expertise to support the global management team.

He has more than 35 years of experience in the logistics sector and held leadership positions at several European logistics companies, including JCL Logistics, Rhenus, Geis Group and Damco

Hinz’s appointment follows a series of strategic growth moves at MBS, including the expansion of the executive team to include Joerg Roehl at the beginning of 2023 and the opening of the group’s first branch in Switzerland later the same year.
