New NYK president takes office

April 17 - Tadaaki Naito has been appointed as the new president of Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), effective yesterday, April 16.

Naito takes over from Yasumi Kudo, who has been appointed chairman of the Japanese shipping line.

Naito has been at NYK since 1995 and has worked in both the company's liner and energy transportation businesses.
