The office will be operational from May 1, 2021, and will be led by Tony Millward, who joined the company on January 1, 2021, as general manager, wind turbine generator (WTG), and administrative director of OHT Renewables DK. He has more 12 years of experience in the sector, having worked at A2Sea and DEME Offshore, where he served as a business unit manager for WTG installation.

Klaus Nissen, who previously worked for Vattenfall, will join the OHT team in Denmark as head of WTG project execution. Camilla Verner Klejs, who previously worked for Ørsted, has been named WTG engineering manager, while Torben Mikkelsen will project manage the newbuild project for OHT’s jack-up installation vessels. He joins the company from Maersk Supply services.

OHT has also appointed Rasmus Rindum Jensen as its chief legal officer, with effect from March. He brings extensive experience in the renewables sector from A2Sea, Bladt Industries and K2 Management to the role.

Torgeir Ramstad, ceo at OHT, said: “‘Denmark is one of the major hubs for offshore wind and a logical location for us to base this key business unit as part of our expansion into WTG installation. Vejle is in the centre of this hub, both for serving clients in Denmark and northern Germany, but also for attracting an experienced and high calibre team.”

Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, OHT also operates offices in Dubai, Houston, Shanghai, Singapore and the UK.
