Rhenus Maritime Services has taken over Arkon Shipping’s shares in Arkon Shipping & Projects.
Arkon Shipping & Projects was established in 2007 by Arkon Shipping and Thomas Cord. The company offers services for ship and cargo owners with a special focus on the bulk, project and heavy lift market segment.
As a result of the deal, Arkon Shipping & Projects will be rebranded as RMS Projects.
Cord will continue to lead the company as managing partner and will be joined by Thomas Ullrich as co-managing director. Ullrich has worked at the Rhenus Group for more than 30 years.
RMS Projects said: “Together with the Rhenus Group as our new partner, we will now strengthen and further expand our existing business as an independent service provider in the areas of commercial ship management, central chartering desk (CCD), consultancy and sale and purchase/newbuildings.”
