Exhibition organiser Messe München has cancelled the transport logistic 2021 event in Munich, Germany, and will instead hold an online conference from May 4-6, 2021.
Stefan Rummel, managing director of Messe München, said: “Our customers would have to start detailed planning for transport logistic now and need planning security. The still ongoing dynamic infection, as well as the resulting travel restrictions, make it impossible to successfully hold transport logistic at the beginning of May. For this reason, on the recommendation of and in consultation with the exhibitor advisory board, we have decided to cancel transport logistic 2021.”
The online conference will, according to the organiser, bridge the gap between the other events in the transport logistic network, including in San Francisco in September, Istanbul in November, Mumbai in February 2022, Shanghai in June 2022 and Johannesburg in February 2023.
The trade fair will return to Munich from May 9-12, 2023.
