April 19 - ALE has started fabrication works for the new heavy-duty jib that will fit onto both the AL.SK190 and AL.SK350 cranes.

ALE unveiled plans to build the new jib, which will be made of specialist high-strength steel and have a 3,400-tonne lifting capacity, back in January.

The jib is a modular design and can be assembled in different configurations.

Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of the year and ALE says that the jib will perform its first lifts up to 2,800 tonnes in 2017.
