Yueh Hsin has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane, with the Taiwanese company’s team travelling to Liebherr’s manufacturing plant in Ehingen, Germany, to receive the crane in person.
Yueh Hsin opted for the 700-tonne capacity LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane to strengthen its position in the market. Tim Wang, deputy managing director at Yueh Hsin, said: “The competition in crane hire in the 500-tonne class is tough – there are currently around 40 LTM 1500-8.1 models on the market. This is why we are deliberately opting for a model that not only delivers more performance but is also versatile in use.”
Yueh Hsin’s new addition is an 8-axle model and features Liebherr’s own technologies, including VarioBallast and VarioBase. The former allows fast and simple adjustment of the ballast radius, optimises the load capacity and reduces the footprint required – making the LTM 1650-8.1 ideal for work on narrow construction sites. VarioBase provides an adjustable, asymmetrical support that allows static stability on uneven surfaces.
The crane’s maiden project for Yueh Hsin will be on the construction of a new semiconductor production plant.
Based in Tainan City, Yueh Hsin currently has a fleet of 60 cranes and is predominantly focused on the IT sector, chemical refineries, construction, and projects in the energy sector.
