While maintaining the same overall dimensions and full-power MEGAFORM boom as its GRT8100 predecessor, the GRT8100-1 features an upgraded chassis that allows customers to integrate a MAXbase variable position outrigger system. This will offer up to 15 percent capacity improvements in certain configurations.

Complying with Euromot 5/tier 4 final requirements, the crane is fitted with a repowered, fuel-efficient engine and will be able to deliver 10 percent more power overall. It also features enhancements to its transmission package and cab.

“The GRT8100 has been a popular choice with customers worldwide. With the GRT8100-1, we have taken a great crane and made it even better,” said Federico Lovera, product manager at Manitowoc.

“The new Grove GRT8100-1 will go into production at our USA and Italian factories simultaneously, allowing deliveries to customers around the world to begin in early Q2 next year.”
