Sarens has placed an order for battery-powered hybrid cranes from Spierings, including three SK1265-AT6 eLift cranes and one SK597-AT4.

The zero-emission eLift solution from Spierings addresses an increasing demand for environmentally friendly lifting operations.

Due to the integrated battery pack, peaks in energy consumption can be managed. When the crane is not being operated, the hydraulic pumps will shut off reducing energy consumption. Meanwhile the battery continues to charge, making it possible to operate on a low power grid connection that is often found on construction sites. In a case where no grid connection is available, the crane can also work in a hybrid mode where a small three cylinder Stage 5 diesel engine together with the battery pack will supply the crane with the required power.
