Schuch already has several LTM 1070-4.2 cranes in its fleet in Germany. Tim Schuch, one of the company’s managing directors, said that the 50 m telescopic boom was a key reason behind the investment decision.

“However, we also believe the VarioBase variable support base is extremely important because it makes jobs safer and increases our flexibility on site,” he added.

The LTC 1050-3.1 attracted the crane operator with its 50-tonne lifting capacity and compact dimensions. It was ordered with the height adjustable crane cabin and the new RemoteDrive remote control. Scuch said: “Controlling the chassis by remote is a really great innovation for constricted sites or inside factory buildings.”

The cranes will be deployed at the Schuch’s sites in Frankfurt, Karlsruhe and Kaiserslautern and will mainly be used for turnkey commercial, industrial and house building operations.
