Anshuman Banka, director at Prism Logistics, speaks to HLPFI editor David Kershaw about building on a family legacy while scaling one of India’s most formidable project logistics and heavy transport engineering businesses.

Founded in India and still family owned, Prism Logistics has grown into a major engineering-led operator with around 400 staff, a substantial owned-asset base and a reputation for delivering complex moves in some of the world’s most demanding operating environments. While the company has traditionally kept a low public profile, its recent project work has propelled it firmly into the industry spotlight, earning two successive Heavy Lift Awards.

Those accolades recognise Prism’s ability to execute at scale: from highly complex overland convoys crossing multiple Indian states to record-setting multimodal projects combining road and marine transport over thousands of kilometres. At the heart of the business, Banka says, is the ethos instilled by his father – an insistence on engineering rigour, accountability and trust.

Despite diversification into areas such as warehousing and real estate, project logistics remains central to Prism’s identity. As Banka puts it, operating in India is the ultimate proving ground.
