GAC Pindar teams up with BBC Yacht Transport

GAC Pindar – the marine leisure, sports and event specialist of the GAC Group – has signed a memorandum of understanding with BBC Yacht Transport.

GAC Pindar said the companies have joined forces to offer “a one-stop-shop solution” for the yacht transport industry – combining BBC Yacht Transport’s ocean solutions and GAC’s door-to-door logistics services.

BBC Yacht Transport was launched in January 2018, as HLPFI reported here. The dedicated division of BBC Chartering provides the global yachting community with access to the shipping line’s fleet of more than 160 multipurpose and heavy lift vessels.

GAC Pindar and BBC Chartering worked together during the Volvo Ocean Race in 2018, offering charter solutions to meet tight deadlines as the race circled the world. The GAC Group also provides some agency services to BBC’s fleet and moves various project cargoes with the shipping line.

Jeremy Troughton, GAC Pindar’s general manager, said: “This strengthening of our relationship offers customers a solid option for shipping yachts and equipment between events or locations with the high standards of service GAC Pindar is known for.”
