AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) – part of the Volga Dnepr Group – has transported 41 containers carrying sensitive medicine from Amsterdam in the Netherlands to Shanghai, China onboard its Boeing 747-8F.
The RKN CSafe containers – equipped with temperature control systems specifically designed for the pharmaceutical industry – contained more than 30 tons (27.2 tonnes) of temperature-sensitive medicine.
The containers were securely loaded and stowed on board ABC’s 747-8F in the main and lower decks on behalf of DSV.
“This transportation, to some extent, is the rehearsal to check that we are well-prepared for the Covid-19 vaccine, once its testing is finalised,” explained Yulia Celetaria, global director of pharma at ABC.
