Having already delivered five ship engines last month, project freight forwarder DAKO Worldwide Transport has followed up by delivering a further four engines from Mannheim, Germany, to a shipyard in northern Italy.

The four engines which measured 7.95 m x 2.6 m x 4.45 m and weighed up to 80 tonnes apiece. DAKO moved the items from the river terminal in Mannheim onto an inland vessel which then followed the Rhine corridor toward Rotterdam. Here, the engines were transhipped onto a multipurpose vessel for onward transport to Italy.
HLPFI reported last month that DAKO had delivered five ship engines from Mannheim to the northern Italian shipyard, with the company having also completed its scope for the Dolores wind farm in Nuevo León, Mexico.
