Each blade measured 82.3 m long and EXG was responsible for the inland transport from origin to the port, port handling, cleaning, Customs and further delivery under hook. EXG ensured that the vehicle placement, technical inspections, port handling, loading, surveying, cleaning and double handling at port were all coordinated and executed without any delays.

The company said that its asset management played a pivotal role, supplying specialised trailers designed for wind turbine blade transportation. It added that 30 specific trailers were dedicated to intra-port movements to facilitate underhook feeding during vessel berthing as well as lifting equipment for unloading and reloading at Kandla port.

EXG is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India.
