Express Global Logistics (EXG) has successfully transported 33 pipe rack modules at an industrial facility in India.
The heaviest module weighed 671.4 tonnes, while the largest module measured 45.6 m x 12 m x 19.7 m. EXG used SPMTs in a 48-axle configuration to transport the modules.
EXG was posed with several challenges at the industrial site, including narrow roads, handling space restrictions on unstable grounds, along with bad weather and having to work through restricted night-time visibility. EXG’s team recalculated trailer load balances onsite, utilised alternate plans to navigate obstructions, and adjusted SPMT configurations where necessary, in order to complete the job.
All 33 pipe rack modules were delivered to the loadout point on time and undamaged.
Last month, HLPFI reported that EXG had completed a multimodal delivery spanning India.
EXG is a member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC).
