Kaleido Logistics has handled oversized cargoes destined for a refinery project in Egypt on behalf of Ingeniería y Diseño Europeo (IDESA).

The cargoes, which included a 230-tonne coke fractionator, a 90-tonne quench tower, and spare parts, were loaded at the port of Avilés in Spain.

The 4,000 cu m shipment was loaded onto the vessel over a two day period.

After 12 days of transit, the cargoes were discharged in Adabiya and is ready for delivery to the refinery.

Kaleido was responsible for the seafreight, ship agency, engineering and lashing and welding. It also called upon its INKLINA system that assures that tandem lifting is executed with the required precision and calibration of both cranes for the loading and unloading operations.
