KGE Baltic has transported Vestas wind turbine components from various points of origin across Europe to Asmolovichi, Belarus.

Three out-of-gauge loads were transported directly from Videbæk in Denmark to Belarus and included a 66.3-tonne nacelle that measured 12.9 m x 4 m x 3.4 m; a 32-tonne hub; and a 61.1-tonne drive train. KGE Baltic also organised the delivery of lowbed, flatbed and curtain-side trailers, alongside a 40 ft container of spare parts.

The remaining cargo consisted of six wind turbine tower sections; the customer sent these from Spain to Ventspils port in Latvia by breakbulk vessel. On arrival, the KGE was charged with accepting the vessel, unlashing and unwelding, discharging the cargo, loading onto trucks, dismantling the harbour gates to leave the port, all transit formalities, surveys, drone filming and more.

The tower sections ranged from 8.2-28 m in length, and varied in weight from 58 to 82.5 tonnes.

KGE Baltic said that all of the equipment had to be delivered on just three weeks notice.

KGE Baltic is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
