Vietnam-based oversize and overweight cargo transporter New World Logistics has transport 18 wind turbine for the Cu Ne 1-2 project in Krongbuk District, Dak Lak Province.

The cargoes were moved from South Van Phong Port in Khanh Hoa and Ba Son Port in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The blades weighed 17.24 tonnes and measured 69.2 m x 4 m x 3.6 m, while nacelles tipped the scales at 83.4 tonnes and measured 11 m x 4. 3 m x 4.2 m. 

The deliveries were completed in a 60-day timeframe from November to December 2023, overcoming challenging weather conditions in Central Vietnam during the project.

The company’s role in the project, and that of the Hoang Hai - Tai Tam and Hung Hai wind farm projects, has garnered the attention of numerous renewable energy investors in Laos, said New World Logistics, setting the stage for upcoming projects in 2024. It added that renewable energy giants such as Vestas, GE and Siemens have also expressed interest by initiating evaluations of the company’s capabilities for future projects in Vietnam.

Further still, New World Logistics recently expanded its operation with representative offices across in Hanoi, Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City as well as in Laos and China.
