The topside, which weighed 3,449.4 tonnes.

Roll Group was tasked with moving the structures in a remote part of Angola. Adopting an end-to-end approach, the company was responsible for involvement in early-stage engineering; the mobilisation of a global fleet of SPMTs; and a swift roll-off method that reduced offshore preparation time.

The jacket measured 97 m x 42 m x 42.7 m and weighed 3,740.7 tonnes, while the topside measured 44.5 m x 73.8 m x 52 m and weighed 3,449.4 tonnes.

“There is zero margin for error in such a remote location,” said Harmen Tiddens, managing director Africa at Roll Group.

Roll Group worked alongside Petromar, Saipem and Azule Energy during the project.

In August 2024, HLPFI reported that Roll Group had completed its scope at a module load-out project in Oman.
