Total Movements has transported a tunnel boring machine from Worli station to the Nehru Science Centre station in Mumbai, India.
The operation was carried out in partnership with Freight Wings, which retrieved the machine using a mega lift structure system with strand jacks that lifted the cargo from a depth of 24 m.
The tunnel boring machine was then transported on SPMTs a distance of 5 km to Nehru Science Museum station, where it was lowered again for the next phase of tunnelling.
