Hamburg-headquartered Trans-Trading has delivered two vessel engines from Bremerhaven in Germany, to Australia.

Each engine weighed 101.92 tons (92.46 tonnes) and measured 8.24 m x 3 m x 3.4 m.

The forwarder loaded the cargo onto the ro-ro vessel Höegh Tracer on June 15, before departing for Australia the following day. The discharge was carried out using a LHM400 port crane, and LTM1350 mobile crane. The transit time was approximately 53 days.

Trans-Trading said that amid the economic ramifications of Covid-19, ro-ro carriers struggle to find enough cargo for their vessels. As a result, the two engines had to be stored for 27 days prior to the ships departure.

Trans-Trading is a member of the XLProjects (XLP) network in Germany.
