From March to June 2021, Wagenborg will transport blades and tower sections for the Windpark Fryslân, which is under construction offshore the Netherlands.
The wind farm will consist of 89 wind turbines in lake IJsselmeer. During September last year, Van Oord Offshore Wind completed the installation of the foundations. During this final stage – the transport of the turbines – Wagenborg will deploy a variety of tugs and pontoons.
The three rotor blades are first assembled in Oude Zeug for transport to the wind farm. The tower parts and the nacelle come to the IJsselmeer via Amsterdam.
