June 29 - Able UK has recently launched a Logistics Division, headed by Mark Nixon (picture below), which aims to increase business for its fleet of heavy transport, lifting and associated equipment, writes Isabel Freedman.

Nixon says the "most modern equipment" which Able has recently obtained, including six self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs) and rough terrain cranes as well as the UK's largest harbour crane.

Additionally, executive chairman of Able UK, Peter Stephenson, commented that this new development is a "natural extension" to the company's established activities. He also believes the new Logistics Division "will increase the utilisation of our major assets" and along with the help of the experienced Mark Nixon, these can be used to meet its own and client requirements.
