American Airlines has joined the cargo.one e-booking platform.

The strategic partnership will allow customers in Europe to access the carrier’s cargo capacity in real-time and book with instant confirmation, American Airlines said.

Jessica Tyler, president cargo and vice president operations innovation and delivery, said: “Flexibility and speed are more important than ever, and the industry needs to continue to find ways to quickly adapt. With cargo.one’s customer-centric approach, American Airlines Cargo is in an even better position to match those requirements.”

The airline said that it has seen its customer base expand and demand for a digital booking experience increase. Moreover, the ever-changing flight schedules resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic have driven the need for reliable, real-time capacity information and a clear overview of routes and services available.

American Airlines will be cargo.one’s first USA-based airline partner; forwarders will be able to access American cargo capacity on the platform from summer 2021.
