The Green Coaster series vessels are equipped with the latest technologies that allow for significant reductions in emissions and fuel consumption, said the carrier.

“Fleximar and the entire Green Coaster series bring exceptional versatility to our fleet. These vessels can transport a wide range of cargoes from bulk commodities and steel products to large project cargo such as wind turbine components,” said Frida Rowland, director, business unit coasters at AtoB@C. “With their Ice Class 1A, we can ensure year-round reliability and deliver low-emission solutions to our customers across the Baltic and North Sea.”

Altogether, AtoB@C has ordered 12 of the 5,400 dwt plug-in hybrid vessels from India’s Chowgule & Company, with all remaining vessels in various stages of construction. AtoB@C claims that one vessel will be delivered every quarter until the autumn of 2026.

Earlier this year, AtoB@C hit the midway point in its newbuilding programme when it took delivery of Terramar, before adding Biomar to its fleet a few months later.
