September 16 - The Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) is launching a series of online training courses, designed to deliver a set of accredited standards and create a complete portfolio of qualifications for charter brokers and those involved in the br

The online training courses, which are a joint initiative between BACA and the TSA Group, were launched by BACA chairman Tony Coe during the BGAD (UK Business & General Aviation Day) exhibition in Biggin Hill on September 15.

The training is open to anyone in the industry that wishes to be trained and accredited to a set of standards approved by BACA. The qualifications will enable certified brokers to demonstrate to auditors that their staff are trained to approved industry standards.

Initially there will be 25 training courses that can either be accessed via the BACA website or the TSA website, but more training will be added to meet future demands for an even more extensive portfolio of courses.

There is also a facility that enables training managers to sign up courses on behalf of a number of employees for group training. The system allows for continuous monitoring of an individual or group's progress via the training site.

BACA said that all of the training courses have been designed so that trainees accumulate a series of credits when they complete each course, which will count towards a BACA Certificate of Excellence.
