The Columbus branch is located adjacent to Rickenbacker International Airport and provides convenient access to the Interstate 270 loop. The new location will provide customers in the region with a wide inventory of operated and bare rental cranes ranging from 5 tons (4.5 tonnes) to 1,800 tons (1,633 tonnes), as well as specialised rigging equipment.

The branch will also offer indoor and outdoor storage, as well as machinery moving, engineered heavy lift and heavy haul solutions.

“The addition of the Columbus branch enhances Barnhart’s presence in the Midwest and provides more options for current and new customers in central Ohio, western Pennsylvania and central Indiana,” said Jim Chapman, Barnhart regional director. “The Columbus team’s focus will be on providing service to the tech industry, new construction and infrastructure improvements, power transmission and generation, and manufacturing.”

In addition to its Ohio locations in Canton and Columbus, Barnhart’s regional presence includes branches in Elkhart and Fowler, Indiana; Monroe, Michigan; Owensboro and Calvert City, Kentucky; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
