May 16 - As part of an agreement with Dutch company SBM Offshore for all logistics in connection with the FPSO Cidade de Paraty project in Brazil, Blue Water Shipping in Aberdeen recently arranged part of a series of project transports.

Following careful preparation, transport of the 3,200 tonnes of project cargo to Brazil commenced from the small town of Buckie in Scotland. As the town was not equipped to handle heavy lift vessels and several of the items were more than 10 meters in height and weighed in excess of 126 tonnes, the cargo had to be transported by small coaster to Invergordon for direct transfer at sea to a heavy lift vessel.

The vessel is currently on route to its final destination in Brazil from which Blue Water Shipping will be arranging cargo discharge and delivery to the client. All items will eventually be installed onboard the FPSO.
