May 5 - Broshuis has introduced a pendle axle system, named PL2, permitting the transportation of 12 tons (10.8 tonnes) per axle line.
According to Broshuis, PL2 will be able to provide a variety of trailers with a minimum ride height of 0.81 m and achieve a stroke of 0.55 m. The 0.55 m stroke allows the load to be jacked up so that on off-road terrain, the trailer has more ground clearance.
The assembly of the pendle axle on to the trailer has also been redesigned to allow for the additional stroke, while creating more room for the oscillation of the axle.
The pendle axle system will soon be supplied on all Broshuis vehicles.
