Dutch shipping line Cargow has christened its multipurpose vessel, Frigg W, at the port of Rotterdam's Wilhelminakade.

The ship is the first in a series of four multipurpose vessels on order at the Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co. shipyard in China, and will be operated by Cargow between Rotterdam, Norway and Reydarfjördur, Iceland.

While the main freight for the scheduled service is Icelandic aluminium, the port of Rotterdam claims the vessels are also capable of transporting project cargo and 100 teu reefer containers.

The line says it offers a full range of services that provide on-time delivery of oversized, overweight, and high value freight .
