Flinterrachel is launched

January 21 - The Flinterrachel, the second of a pair of 5,500 dwt multi-purpose heavy lift ships has been launched.

The ship was built at Barkmeijer Shipyards in Stroobos, Netherlands for Helsingborg-based Flinter Shipping. The Flinterrachel will now be towed to Lemmer for outfitting.

 

Her sister ship, Flinterrebecca, was delivered in December 2008.
