June 7 - Italian project freight forwarder Gruber Logistics has expanded its Russian market presence with the opening of a new branch in St Petersburg.

This joins an existing office in Moscow and represents the company's confidence in the future of the Russian market, said a company statement. 

In St Petersburg, Gruber Logistics will offer FTL, heavy transport and project logistics to clients.

The forwarder has an existing division based in Germany, Gruber Logistics East, which advises European customers on how to serve the Russian market.

The 75-year old Gruber Logistics has 18 branches and around 450 employees, with a turnover of EUR176 million (USD217 million).

The company's senior management includes Martin, Kurt and Christian Gruber, pictured below.
