Container shipping group Hapag-Lloyd has opened a new office in Muscat, Oman.
Located along the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman, Oman is a key a logistics hub for regional and global trade. Hapag-Lloyd already maintains a strong network there, offering weekly services via Sohar, while Salalah functions as a major transhipment hub that is also part of the Gemini Cooperation.
While oil and gas remain important pillars, Oman’s expanding non-oil sectors – including logistics, manufacturing, tourism, renewable energy, mining, and fisheries – continue to increase the country’s economic resilience, said the carrier.
