As part of the company’s ongoing fleet expansion, Roll Group has ordered two new heavy-duty deck barges – currently under construction in Indonesia.

Built to DNV classification, the 9,350 dwt barges are scheduled for delivery towards the end of 2026. They will sail under the Indonesian flag and operate globally.
Each barge will measure 280 ft (85.3 m) in length with a beam of 90 ft (27.4 m), a depth of 20 ft (6.1 m), and a design draught of 15.7 ft (4.8 m). The flat deck will be capable of supporting up to 20 tonnes per sq m. The barges lend themselves to performance in shallow water conditions, given their ballastable design.
Once constructed, the barges will join Roll Group fleet and will strengthen its heavy lift and project logistics services, particularly in the Middle East and Asia, where it has several ongoing commitments.
Last week, reported that the deck carrier Bigroll KMC Busan had joined Roll Group’s fleet.
