Toll Holdings of Australia acquired BALtrans Logistics in early 2008 and completed the re-branding of the company as Toll Global Forwarding on 27 February 2009.
Toll is active in project cargo movements through its Perth-based Toll Project Services which specialises in project management and execution of moving difficult oversize, overweight and dangerous cargoes.
Toll and BALtrans had highly complementary businesses in terms of strategy, capability, customers and industry segments with minimal network overlap, said a company statement.
