TransAtlantic to be discontinued

November 29 - Viking Supply Ships has decided to discontinue the remaining operations of its subsidiary TransAtlantic in order to meet financing commitments.

Sweden based TransAtlantic is the ro-ro and general cargo shipping arm of Viking Supply Ships. The company's container operations and ship management services were sold to X-Press Feeders and AtoB@C respectively in 2015.

Viking Supply Ships advised that an agreement was reached during the third quarter of this year for the sale of the ro-ro vessel TransReel, which was delivered to its new owners in October. An agreement has also been signed regarding the sale of the ship TransFighter.
