March 13 - Van der Vlist teamed up with a number of logistics companies to hold a sustainability day in three locations around Groot Ammers, Holland.
The 'Personeelsdag Blauwzaam' day was organised to educate, inform and entertain over 100 Van der Vlist drivers and their families.
At the event European truck manufacturers Volvo and Iveco showcased their newest vehicles. Renault provided an electric car that attendees could test drive. A formula one driving simulator was also in place for visitors to enjoy a safe speed experience.
Heavy machinery manufacturers displayed a range of sustainable construction machinery. Komatsu brought along its hybrid excavator, which visitors could look at and even try out.
As part of the sustainability day a special driver training session was organised aimed at educating Van der Vlist drivers in both the safety and sustainability of their driving.
